Crash Kit

A soft, gentle and low-speed crash will most likely break and/or bend everything you find in a crash kit. Better have this kit handy before your next crash, so you don't depend on your store stock to get back in the air.

Most likely you will damage:
  • Main Shaft
  • Servo gears (probably the three CCPM servos at once)
  • Tail link
  • Flybar paddles
  • Frames, at least the lower frame.
  • One or more rubber damper
  • Main bearings
  • Blade bearings
For sure you will damage the following. Most of them covered in the standard crash kit:

  • Main blades
  • Plastic/FG Canopy
  • Tail shaft
  • Tail blades
  • Tail boom
  • Main gear (the red one)
  • Feathering shaft
  • Flybar
* There is a hardened (non hollow) version of the main shaft. It was developed because at very high RPM the regular shaft may slightly bend with the speed during flight.

If you fly at 2600~2800 RPM (sport flying or soft 3D), I'd recommend the regular shaft since it will absorb more energy in a crash, protecting your main gears and servos better than the hardened shaft.
